StakeDriven Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how StakeDriven collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information when you use stakedriven.com, app.stakedriven.com, testnet.stakedriven.com, related subdomains, and any app, page, interface, API route, or feature that links to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Services").
"StakeDriven", "we", "us", and "our" mean the operator of the Services. If no separate legal entity is identified in the Services, these references mean the person or entity that controls the stakedriven.com domain and makes the Services available. Contact: legal@stakedriven.com.
StakeDriven combines off-chain app data with public blockchain data. Blockchain data is public by design and may remain available permanently even if we remove or delete related off-chain app data.

2. Sources of Information
We collect information:
- directly from you when you sign in, connect a wallet, create projects or polls, post updates, enter poll terms, submit optional voter email information, contact us, or use app features;
- from your wallet, browser, and device;
- from public blockchain networks and block explorers;
- from service providers that help operate the Services, such as authentication, hosting, database, wallet, RPC, analytics, security, and compliance providers; and
- from public or third-party sources when needed for security, sanctions, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or moderation.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Services;
- authenticate users and link email identities to wallet addresses;
- create, display, manage, index, and moderate projects and polls;
- support private poll visibility and allowlists in the hosted app;
- read, index, reconcile, and display smart-contract and blockchain events;
- show poll status, voter state, creator claim state, refund eligibility, totals, and history;
- process legal acceptance and document-version records;
- detect, prevent, investigate, and respond to abuse, fraud, security incidents, sanctions risk, and prohibited activity;
- apply geoblocking, wallet screening, rate limits, token restrictions, and other compliance controls;
- respond to support, legal, and privacy requests;
- analyze usage, performance, and product demand;
- test, debug, and improve the Services;
- enforce the Terms of Use and other policies; and
- comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal Bases for Processing
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we process personal information based on one or more of the following:
- contract, to provide the Services and enforce the Terms of Use;
- legitimate interests, including security, fraud prevention, product improvement, moderation, compliance controls, and business operations;
- legal obligations, including sanctions, law-enforcement, tax, accounting, dispute, and regulatory obligations;
- consent, including where required for non-essential analytics cookies, marketing communications, or similar technologies; and
- vital or public interests where applicable law recognizes them.
You may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, but withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal or processing based on another legal basis.
5. Public Blockchain Data
Blockchain transactions are public. They may reveal wallet addresses, token approvals, token transfers, funded vote choices, cancellations, claims, contract addresses, timestamps, and other information.
Public blockchain data is not controlled by StakeDriven and generally cannot be deleted, changed, hidden, or made private by us. Blockchain data may be copied, indexed, analyzed, combined with other information, and used by third parties without our involvement.
Do not use the Services if you are not comfortable with public blockchain transparency.
6. Cookies, Local Storage, and Similar Technologies
We may use cookies, local storage, SDKs, pixels, tags, logs, and similar technologies for:
- authentication and wallet connection;
- security, fraud prevention, and rate limiting;
- private environment access;
- remembering settings and app state;
- diagnostics and performance;
- analytics, if enabled; and
- legal and compliance records.
Some technologies are necessary for the Services to work. Non-essential analytics or tracking technologies may require consent depending on your location and the technology used.
You can use browser settings to delete or block cookies and local storage, but doing so may prevent authentication, wallet connection, or app features from working.
7. How We Share Information
We may share information:
- with service providers that help operate the Services, including authentication, wallet, hosting, database, analytics, RPC, blockchain infrastructure, security, compliance, email, and support providers;
- on public blockchains when you authorize transactions through your wallet;
- with other users or the public when you create public projects, public polls, public updates, or public on-chain transactions;
- with poll creators when you choose to provide information connected to their poll, such as optional voter email information where the app supports it;
- with block explorers and blockchain infrastructure through normal blockchain use;
- when required by law, subpoena, court order, legal process, regulator request, or government request;
- when we believe disclosure is needed to protect users, the Services, public safety, our rights, or the rights of others;
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, asset sale, or similar transaction; and
- with your consent or at your direction.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If this changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any legally required choices.
8. Private Polls and Allowlists
Private polls use off-chain app visibility controls. If a creator adds your wallet address to an allowlist, the app may store and use that wallet address to decide whether to show you the private poll.
Private poll visibility does not make blockchain activity private. The underlying smart contract, transaction history, token transfers, and wallet activity may remain public.
9. Sanctions, Wallet Screening, and Geoblocking
We may process wallet addresses, IP addresses, approximate location, transaction details, sanctions-screening results, risk-screening results, and related compliance records to block restricted users, restricted jurisdictions, sanctioned wallets, or high-risk activity.
Some access decisions may be automated. For example, the Services may automatically block a wallet, IP address, or region based on compliance rules. If you believe a restriction was applied in error, contact legal@stakedriven.com. We may not be able to provide access if doing so would create legal, security, or compliance risk.
10. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the Services, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce terms, comply with law, preserve business records, and support historical poll functionality.
Project and poll data may be retained while the Services operate so poll pages, claims, creator records, voter records, and event histories remain understandable.
Compliance, sanctions, legal acceptance, dispute, moderation, security, and accounting records may be retained for longer periods where reasonably necessary.
Public blockchain data may remain available permanently outside our control. Backups, logs, and security records may persist for limited periods after deletion from active systems.
11. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or information about how we process personal information. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
You can stop using the Services, disconnect your wallet, sign out, clear browser storage, or contact us to request deletion or correction of off-chain account information.
We cannot delete or alter information written to public blockchains, information held by third parties, or information we must keep for legal, security, compliance, dispute, or legitimate operational reasons.
To make a privacy request, contact legal@stakedriven.com.
12. International Processing
The Services and our providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Those countries may have data protection laws that differ from your jurisdiction.
Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual safeguards, adequacy decisions, or other mechanisms recognized by applicable law.
13. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No internet service, blockchain interaction, wallet, smart contract, database, or hosting provider is completely secure.
You are responsible for protecting your wallet, email, devices, private keys, seed phrases, passwords, and transaction approvals.
14. Children
The Services are not directed to children. You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher, to use authenticated app features. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time by posting a revised version and updating the effective date or version.
If we make material changes, we may provide additional notice or request renewed consent where required or appropriate.
16. Contact
Privacy questions and requests may be sent to legal@stakedriven.com.
